INJURY AND RETURN TO PLAY

An injured athlete will not be permitted to return to active participation until cleared by his/her physician or through the school doctor.

ATHLETIC INSURANCE COVERAGE

An Athletic Insurance Policy with Monarch Management is in place for all of our athletes. Basically, this is Excess or Secondary coverage which means you must submit all bills to your own  insurance/primary coverage first (Blue Cross, Conn. Gen., etc.) and follow the guidelines of your personal insurance carrier when seeking medical attention for your child.  It is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY that an injured athlete follows this simple procedure:

1. Report accident to coach immediately following the injury.

2. The coach will fill out the School Accident Report and give to trainer.

3. The trainer will complete the required Student Injury Report online.

4. The trainer will send the parents a letter explaining how the insurance coverage works and what their responsibility will be with respect to the claim.

5. The trainer will give a hard copy of the Student Accident Report to the nurse.
